R.C.TECH architects
L’edificio per uffici R.C.TECH è situato ad Atene e ospita lo studio di architettura degli stessi progettisti.
Lo scopo del progetto, è stato quello di realizzare un edificio bioclimatico, che rispetta l’ambiente e che, nello stesso tempo, assicura comfort ai suoi utenti.
La geometria dei volumi del grande edificio (7piani di cui 2 interrati), la linearità degli spazi e l’organizzazione delle funzioni caratterizzano la composizione generale.
Le funzioni principali sono disposte intelligentemente secondo l’asse Est-Ovest, permettendo così il controllo della luce naturale in tutti gli ambienti di lavoro.
Ogni piano è un open space suddiviso in due aree di lavoro da una zona centrale che funziona da punto d’incontro e di sviluppo delle idee sia tra architetti e clienti che tra architetti, ingegneri e collaboratori esterni.
Al piano terra si trova la reception, la ragioneria e uno spazio d’esposizione centrale, che funziona anche come luogo di riunione con i collaboratori esterni; al primo piano gli uffici degli architetti associati, e ai restanti le postazioni di lavoro degli architetti collaboratori, degli ingegneri e dei disegnatori. I due piani interrati sono destinati a garage e ai locali ausiliari.
L’involucro esterno dell’edificio si adatta al clima e alla destinazione d’uso. Sistemi attivi e passivi di riscaldamento e condizionamento dell’aria per mezzo di un intelligente uso dell’energia solare garantiscono risparmio energetico e comfort ambientale.
La facciata Ovest ha un sistema automatico di controllo dell’incidenza dei raggi del sole costituito da frangisole rotanti in alluminio.
Nel prospetto Sud è stato utilizzato lo stesso sistema, ma di colore bianco per respingere la maggior quantità possibile di calore ed è stato istallato a una determinata distanza dalla parete esterna per creare una camera d’aria che evita il surriscaldamento dovuto alle alte temperature tipiche della regione.
Quella settentrionale, invece, è protetta da un’ampia e cieca superficie di rivestimento realizzata in pannelli compositi d’alluminio di colore grigio scuro che assorbono l’energia generata per irraggiamento dall’edificio antistante; essa funziona anche da barriera al vento.
Nei mesi caldi il corpo scala funziona da condotto verticale di fuoriuscita dell’aria calda che viene risucchiata dagli ambienti lavorativi per mezzo del deflusso causato dai moti convettivi.
Per questo motivo sono state istallate alla sua sommità aperture che vengono usate ogni qualvolta si voglia attivare tale processo.
A queste se ne aggiungono altre ad Est nella facciata prospiciente la piscina per garantire l’ingresso d’aria fresca prodotta per evaporazione. Anche La copertura della costruzione, un tetto-giardino, aiuta l’efficienza bioclimatica del sistema fungendo da isolante termico naturale.
Il benessere termico all’interno dell’edificio è dovuto al capillary tubes system, formato da una fitta trama di sottili tubi del diametro di 2 mm, incorporati nell’intonaco del solaio. In essi, scorre acqua ad una temperatura regolata a seconda del periodo dell’anno. In questo modo, si ha sia il riscaldamento che il raffreddamento dell’aria.
L’elegante edificio si presenta quindi come portatore di tecnologie sostenibili ma anche di grande controllo dei dettagli come dimostrato dagli interni attentamente studiati in base al rapporto con lo spazio esterno.
Un’opera elegante e sostenibile in un panorama, quello greco, dove la bioarchitettura sta sviluppandosi con interessanti realizzazioni come quella qui descritta.
