Prima Edizione: medaglia d’oro al Progetto di Poggio&Armellino architetti associati
Il nuovo Premio “Domus Restauro e Conservazione” ideato e promosso nel 2010 dalla Facoltà di Architettura di Ferrara e dalla Fassa S.p.A., prende finalmente forma attraverso l’annuncio dei vincitori dell’edizione 2011.
A questa prima competizione, che ha riscontrato fin da subito un importante successo, hanno preso parte 98 partecipanti (71 professionisti per la sezione “opere realizzate” e 27 neo-laureati per la sezione “tesi di laurea, dottorato o specializzazione”) provenienti da numerosi paesi.
L’iniziativa ha infatti l’importante ruolo di incentivare la partecipazione dei paesi europei ed extraeuropei dove il restauro architettonico è pratica ancora poco esplorata, e si accinge a diventare un riferimento importante in ambito internazionale.
Ha presieduto la commissione il Prof. Giovanni Carbonara (Direttore della “Scuola di Specializzazione in Beni Architettonici e del Paesaggio” dell’Università di Roma), affiancato da rappresentanti del Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali (Arch. Renata Codello), del mondo professionale (Arch. Erich G. Steinmayr) e accademico (Prof. Riccardo Dalla Negra, Prof. Marcello Balzani) con l’intenzione di rappresentare al meglio la molteplicità di istanze presenti nel mondo della disciplina.
L’intervento vincitore per la sezione opere realizzate è il restauro del Castello di Saliceto condotto dallo studio Armellino&Poggio Architetti Associati, coadiuvati da numerose consulenze professionali nel più assoluto rispetto dei principi disciplinari.
L’azione conservativa viene condotta nel pieno rispetto dell’autenticità del testo e nel tentativo di minimizzare gli interventi concentrando molti degli elementi tecnologici nella nuova torre funzionale, in grado di alludere alle masse fabbricative esistenti, ricostituendo con linguaggio squisitamente contemporaneo, l’equilibrio figurativo della fabbrica.
Sono inoltre state assegnate tre medaglie d’argento per l’intervento di adattamento museale Angelika Kauffmann Museum, condotto da Dietrich|Untertrifaller Architekten (Austria); per l’intervento di riconfigurazione spaziale dei due grandi corpi di fabbrica del Norwich Cathedral Visitors Centre realizzato da Hopkins Architects (Gran Bretagna) ed infine allo studio Berlucchi per la rigorosa azione conservativa nel Teatro Sociale di Bergamo.
Altre 5 menzioni speciali qualificano l’alto livello degli interventi pervenuti.
L’idea di promuovere la partecipazione anche delle tesi di laurea al concorso ha consentito di apprezzare una realtà composta da neoarchitetti e neoingegneri che, con distinte sensibilità ed approcci differenti, hanno saputo confrontarsi presentando contributi originali.
Il bilancio è senz’altro positivo sia in termini di partecipazione che rispetto ai risultati attesi: i progetti selezionati hanno il merito di presentare in modo chiaro il processo analitico svolto, secondo un metodo che con coerenza si mostra aggiornato alle riflessioni della disciplina, ponendo l’accento sulle calibrate reintegrazioni criticamente condotte con misura ed efficacia, come nel caso di Enrica Santaniello e del gruppo composto da Marina Campidelli, Gilda Montanari e Roberto Rossi, oppure distinguendosi per l’equilibrio e la misura suggeriti nel restituire leggibilità di un testo arboreo, come nel caso di Marta Pileri.
La cerimonia di Premiazione è prevista per Mercoledì 30 Marzo alle ore 18.30 a Palazzo Tassoni, edificio storico sede della Facoltà di Architettura di Ferrara alla presenza dei Membri della Giuria e di altre personalità del mondo del restauro.
I risultati di questa prima edizione saranno inoltre presentati nei giorni del Salone dell’arte del Restauro e della Conservazione dei Beni Culturali e Ambientali di Ferrara (30 Marzo-2 Aprile 2011) attraverso una conferenza prevista per il giorno 31 Marzo e una mostra allestita al Pad. 3 della Fiera ospitante tutti i progetti che hanno partecipato alla prima edizione suddivisi in quasi 200 tavole.
