La Giuria Internazionale del Premio Architettura Sostenibile si è riunita la scorsa settimana per indivuiduare i progetti vincitori e menzionati di questa edizione.
A breve tramite il sito www.premioarchitettura.it verranno comunicati i nomi dei progetti selezionati.
La Giuria 2011 è composta da illustri nomi dell’architettura sostenibile come:
- Prof. Thomas Herzog (Presidente di Giuria) –
Thomas Herzog lavora a Monaco (Germania), dove è nato nel 1941.
È considerato uno dei fondatori dell’architettura bioclimatica sia come professionista che come docente avendo speso gran parte della propria vita su questi argomenti in Europa, Stati Uniti e di recente in Cina. Thomas Herzog ha aperto il proprio studio nel 1971.
Ha progettato un elevato numero di interventi residenziali e approfondito tipologie di edifici collettivi a energia solare sviluppando dettagli costruttivi tecnologici che possano trarre il maggior beneficio possibile dal sole e dalle condizioni climatiche proprie del sito.
È stato Preside della Facoltà di Architettura della Technische Universität di Monaco, Visiting Professor alla Ecole Polytechnique Féderale de Lausanne (EPFL), Guest Professor at Tsinghua University di Pechino, Graham Professor alla University of Pennsylvania (PENN) e Guest Professor alla Royal Danish Academy di Copenhagen.
- Prof. Francine Houben –
Francine Houben (1955), nata a Sittard, in Olanda, è partner fondatore e direttore dello studio Mecanoo architecten, da 25 anni un consolidato studio di Delft.
È docente in diversi paesi e membro di giuria in prestigiose competizioni.
I suoi progetti vincitori di premi e menzioni illustrano i tre fondamentali elementi della sua visione dell’architettura: composizione, contrasto e complessità.
Dal 2007 Francine Houben è visiting professor alla Harvard University.
Nel 2007 ha ricevuto la fellowship ad honorem presso l’American Institute of Architects e al Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.
Nel 2008 è stata premiata Veuve Clicquot Business Woman of the Year per la qualità professionale dello studio Mecanoo.
- Prof. Francisco Mangado -
Nato in Navarra nel 1957, Francisco Mangado si è laureato presso la Scuola di Architettura dell’università di Navarra nel 1982 e questa istituzione è ancora il suo punto di riferimento nell’attività di ricerca e di insegnamento.
È stato Guest Professor alla Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, e Eero Saarinen Visiting Professor alla Yale’s School of Architecture. È inoltre docente al Navarre school’s Master of Architectural Design program e Visiting Professor all’École Polytechnique Fédérale di Losanna.
Nel giugno del 2008 crea la Fundación Arquitectura y Sociedad, che ha come scopo la divulgazione e l’incremento dell’interazione tra l’architettura e altri campi di conoscenza e azione.
Combinando l’attività di progettista con quella di docente guida il suo studio professionale a Pamplona, Spagna.
- Prof. Nicola Marzot –
Nicola Marzot nasce ad Imola nel 1965. Svolge la propria attività di ricerca nel campo delle teorie e metodi della progettazione architettonica ed urbana, con attenzione particolare al rapporto tra Morfologia urbana e Tipologie edilizie.
Ha insegnato presso la Facoltà di Architettura di Hosei University, Tokyo e la Facoltà di Architettura dell’Università di Lund, Svezia. Dal 2006 è visiting professor presso il Dipartimento di Architettura del Politecnico di Delft, Olanda, in qualità di Associato alla cattedra di Composizione Architettonica e Urbana.
Vicedirettore di Paesaggio Urbano e redattore delle riviste internazionali Urban Morphology, Opera/Progetto e Rassegna (diretta da François Burkhardt), dal 1996 svolge attività professionale a Bologna come cotitolare dello studio di progettazione PERFORMA A+U.
- Arch. Gianluca Minguzzi (Segretario di Giuria) -
Gianlcua Minguzzi è nato a Ravenna nel 1972 ed è Segretario e membro di giuria del Premio Internazionale Architettura Sostenibile dal 2004 anno della sua prima edizione.
Nel 1999 diviene professore a contratto di Progettazione Ambientale presso la Facoltà di Architettura di Ferrara e docente in diversi corti professionale e master post-laurea sui temi dell’architettura sostenibile e dell’efficienza energetica. Nel 1999 Gianluca Minguzzi fonda (con Nicola Pasi and Golfieri Enrico) “Officina di Architettura” uno studio ubicato ad Alfonsine (Ravenna).
È autore di pubblicazioni riguardanti l’architettura sostenibile e l’utilizzo dei materiali compositi a matrice polimerica in edilizia.
