El muin de Iose, a San Giacomo di Musestrelle, nel comune di Carbonera, Treviso, é arrivato ai giorni nostri non più da mulino, come del resto molti edifici funzionali alla vita agricola del territorio Veneto, dove l’industrializzazione diffusa ed un’agricoltura industrializzata, hanno portato alla dismissione di un sistema abitativo e di relazioni produttive e sociali del territorio, a dir poco epocale.
La scelta di costruire un edificio nell’edificio, costituisce una opzione fondamentale per salvaguardare l’apparato murario storico. Se fossero stati usati i muri esistenti per sostenere i tre nuovi solai, si sarebbe dovuto intervenire su delle murature in laterizio, sasso e calce, compromettendone l’equilibrio.
Costruire un sistema di fondazioni indipendente da quello esistente diventa essenziale per un intervento che non snaturi l’edificio storico. Il legno è in primo luogo un albero, un organismo vivente, parte fondativa di questa architettura e garanzia di leggerezza. Il legno è il materiale da costruzione che ha un ciclo di rinnovabilià molto breve rispetto a qualsiasi altra tecnologia costruttiva duratura con un bilancio globale di emissione di CO2 positivo.
La vera sfida di questo progetto è stata quella di usare il legno lamellare oltre che per gli impalcati dei solai anche come struttura verticale. Tutto viene sostenuto da dodici pilastri di quasi nove metri di altezza, oltre ad un sofisticato sistema di tiranti in acciaio che rende il tutto antisismico.
Il benessere abitativo nell’ambiente domestico è fatto di esperienze tattili e sensoriali, dalle venature del legno di larice a contatto con i piedi, alle maniglie delle porte.
La penetrazione della luce, limitata dalle facciate vincolate è stata garantita da accorgimenti in grado di farla filtrare dal tetto e dalle finestre anche agli ambienti sottostanti e soprastanti, per mezzo di pavimenti vetrati e spazi in doppia altezza.
L’acqua del fiume utilizzata come scambiatore per la pompa di calore, in grado di riscaldare e rinfrescare gli ambienti, per mezzo di pannelli radianti a pavimento e a parete.
Il cappotto interno realizzato per mezzo di insufflazione di cellulosa nella apposita intercapedine realizzata in legno.
Il piano terra ventilato con gli igloo e a sua volta isolato verso l’ambiente abitato con un notevole strato coibente.
Serramenti appositamente costruiti nel rispetto della tipologia dell’edificio storico ma altamente performanti grazie anche alla tecnologia del vetro.
Il tetto realizzato con le tavelline in cotto su morali di legno coibentato e ventilato naturalmente.
Il recente ottenimento della concessione idraulica per lo sfruttamento del salto d’acqua a fini idroelettrici, da ricostruire ex novo, renderà questo edificio un produttore di energia, con un bilancio energetico positivo
