Un intero blocco residenziale visto come estensione del tessuto urbano di Es Mercadal, caratterizzato da una rete di strade strette e piccoli spazi scoperti, un progetto dove le case sono aperte su una serie ordinata di patii e collegate alla strada attraverso due gallerie di accesso.
Il volume dell’edificio è ricavato per sottrazione di spazi, scavato per assicurare luce e aria alle residenze. Il progetto evoca la tradizione delle case a patio e la razionalità di tipo tradizionale nell’adattamento climatico e la saggezza ancestrale del muro e della soglia dell’abitazione.
Di fronte al traffico pesante che attraversa la Via di Ronda a deviazione del traffico dal centro, il sistema proposto di patii migliora l’acustica delle residenze e garantisce la massima privacy fungendo da sistema di controllo del clima. Così, il sistema compositivo intensifica l’azione di progettazione passiva degli edifici al fine di agevolare la ventilazione naturale della casa e migliorare il comfort e il consumo di energia. Nonostante il perimetro irregolare, la composizione delle case a corte cerca la serializzazione massima.
Le misure di efficienza energetica adottate, mirate a migliorare l’efficienza energetica e ridurre il consumo di energie non rinnovabili ed emissioni di CO2 previste nell’ambito del progetto sono state:
• Costruzione che offre il massimo comfort ai suoi abitanti e il benessere del loro ambiente.
• Generazione di aree con microclimi della città consolidata, superfici vegetali in cortili e ponti con irrigazione adeguata.
• Orientamento dell’edificio e delle case a patio: soggiorno e camere da letto a sud.
• Fornitura di isolamento dell’intero edificio senza l’esistenza di ponti termici.
• Progettazione di aperture vetrate con frangisole fisso o mobile, a seconda delle esigenze di guadagno solare durante le diverse stagioni.
• Massimo utilizzo della luce naturale all’interno delle case a patio.
• Controllo dell’inerzia termica dei materiali utilizzati in elementi costruttivi: pareti, tetti, pavimenti e pareti divisorie.
• Fornitura di una ventilazione incrociata nelle case a patio con il corretto orientamento delle facciate
• Installazione di pannelli solari per l’approvvigionamento idrico.
• Doppio vetro con gas argon e kripton a porte chiuse.
• Le luci a risparmio energetico.
• L’installazione di due ascensori di bassa potenza e bassa rumorosità.
• Fornitura di un adeguato scambio di aria, di ventilazione e controllo dell’umidità, dalla progettazione passiva.
L’uso di materiali e sistemi ha privilegiato l’utilizzo di componenti che non richiedono energia nella loro estrazione, installazione, produzione, trasporto e successivamente nel suo riciclaggio e smantellamento.
• Utilizzo di materiali con una lunga shelf-life riuso o il riciclaggio di evitare quelli che non possono essere riciclati.
• Utilizzo di materiali naturali a preferenza di quelli sintetici.
• Processi di produzione con la ISO 14.000 che riducono al minimo i rifiuti e la spazzatura nella loro produzione.
• Raccolta dei rifiuti nella costruzione e delle abitazioni, l’installazione della separazione di compostaggio.
• Rubinetti con riduzione di voci di consumo (aeratori, risparmio idrico).
• Installazione di doppia spinta cisterne pulsante.
